NXT unveiled a new match concept Saturday night at DEADL1NE, a hybrid iron man and gauntlet match, with title shots at the men's and women's top singles titles on the line.

While they might not go down in history like 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Edge or Asuka, we should acknowledge the winners of the first men's and women's Iron Survivor Challenge.

The women's match opened DEADL1NE, with Roxanne Perez lasting the entire 25-minute match and picking up a late second pinfall on rival Cora Jade to win the challenge. She battled Zoey Stark from the jump and dealt with Indi Hartwell and Kiana James as well during the bout. The impressive superstar is now poised to threaten Mandy Rose's NXT Women's Championship.

On the men's side, Grayson Waller quite literally stole the victory, picking up two quick pinfalls seconds after entering the match with a double rolling stunner on Axiom and JD McDonagh, then vulturing a pin from Carmelo Hayes with 30 seconds left. Waller raced around the ringside area, playing defense and running out the clock to earn an NXT Championship shot against Bron Breakker, and he wasted little time in making his intentions clear about getting his hands on that title, attacking the champ at the end of the show.

Time will tell if the Iron Survivor Challenge becomes a regular thing in NXT, or, if like WarGames, it "graduates" to the main roster eventually.
