Don't expect a Cody Rhodes heel turn anytime soon...

While certain fans continue to push for a heel turn from WWE's Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare seemingly has no plans of turning to the dark side - at least, if he gets his way about things.

Speaking during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark (via f4wonline) to promote WrestleMania 42, Rhodes said:

"For a long time, there were a lot of anti-heroes. Just recently, it felt like WWE hit this stride with so much youth in the audience that it felt like babyfaces came back to life. Jey Uso, for example, is somebody that the kids go crazy for. Sami Zayn is out there doing it. And for me to be able to be in that spot, I don’t want to leave it. It’s so much fun.”

As Cody discussed elsewhere in this appearance, it's yet to be clarified exactly what he'll be doing at 'Mania 42 this April, with this Friday seeing Rhodes go up against Jacob Fatu and Sami Zayn in a triple threat, where the winner will advance to the titular men's match at Elimination Chamber later this month. From the, the eventual winner of that Chamber contest will go on to challenge for the WWE Championship at this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

At present, Drew McIntyre is the WWE Champion, having defeated Cody Rhodes for that prize last month. Recent reports suggest that we may well get McIntyre vs. Rhodes at WrestleMania 42, although there is always the chance of Jacob Fatu or possibly even Randy Orton being added to that match by the time all is said and done.
