The current head-to-head score card for the Wednesday Night War, excluding nights on which each side ran unopposed, reads 23-5-1. That is a bloodbath. The five nights on which NXT was victorious are quite revealing, too.

On November 20, 2019, amid the brand warfare of the big four Survivor Series pay-per-view, NXT as heavily promoted on RAW opened the doors to the main roster, and several top main rosters stars - including Becky Lynch - stormed in.

On November 27, viewers tuned in to watch the brand that had defeated the established RAW and SmackDown at said pay-per-view. The huge push did not work; normal service soon resumed.

On December 18, NXT promoted a quasi-TakeOver show bookended by two major NXT and NXT Women's Championship matches.

On April 8, 2020, NXT broadcast 'One Final Beat', the conclusion to the epic, two-year Johnny Gargano Vs. Tommaso Ciampa saga originally scheduled to headline TakeOver: Tampa.

On April 15, NXT presented a fairly uneventful show, marking the only occasion on which it defeated AEW Dynamite with no special attraction of note.
