Why WWE Needs To Immediately Fix THIS Historic Mistake

1. Why Demolition Are Not Already In The WWE Hall Of Fame

Having heard just how great Demolition were, what records they set, and what prizes they won, that brings us to the question of why this undoubtedly legendary team is not already in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Since the market leader launched its Hall of Fame in 1993, the Blackjacks, the Wild Samoans, Jack and Gerald Brisco, the Funks, the Von Erichs, the Road Warriors, the Four Horsemen, the Bushwackers, the Fabulous Freebirds, the Rock 'n' Roll Express, the Dudley Boyz, D-Generation X, Harlem Heat, the Hart Foundation, the nWo, the Bella Twins, and the Steiner Brothers are units who have all been inducted.

While there are some truly iconic teams listed there, there's zero way that you can say Demolition don't deserve to be among those names.

In reality, the belief is that Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow being a part of the 2016 class action lawsuit filed against WWE for the company having put them at risk of brain trauma, is what's kept Demolition out of the Hall of Fame.

That lawsuit was thrown out in 2018, but obviously Vince McMahon has long been known as somebody to hold a grudge. While McMahon is nowadays no longer involved in the creative process, his role as Executive Chairman of the Board may be enough for him to still have the power to veto any Demolition induction.

Regardless of Vince's thoughts or not, WWE needs to induct Demolition sooner rather than later. Heck, the promotion could even extend that Hall of Fame offer for this year's ceremony if they saw fit.

While there's plenty of life in the 75-year-old Eadie and 63-year-old Darsow these days, it would be an absolute travesty if - much like Randy Savage and Vader - Demolition ends up being an act that's eventually posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

For a generation of fans, Demolition was the tag team in professional wrestling. By any and all WWE metrics, Ax and Smash were a special tandem, and it's only right that the pair get their flowers while they're still around to receive them, and it's only right that they get to receive the rightful Hall of Fame praise and acclaim that they have for so long deserved.
