Having been stretched out of Globe Life Field at All In on Saturday, it looks as if Will Ospreay will be taking a break from imminent AEW action.

Per Fightful Select, Ospreay is expected to take some time off after having worked "banged up" for a spell. While there isn't an exact timeframe on the Aerial Assassin's return to the ring, sources Fightful spoke to believe that Will will be away for "over a month".

Pure speculation from your writer here, but with AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 taking place from London's O2 Arena in just under six weeks, one has to imagine Ospreay will have a major role to play at that crossover PPV, particularly with how the former AEW International Champion is front-and-centre on all of the event's promotional material - as you can see below.

As of this writing, there's only one match technically confirmed for this year's Forbidden Door, which is Hiroshi Tanahashi wrestling in the UK for the final time in his illustrious career. However, it's not yet known who the Ace of New Japan Pro-Wrestling will be facing off against as his retirement tour enters its final few months.

For Will Ospreay, All In saw him and Swerve Strickland defeat the Young Bucks in a phenomenal match that means Matthew and Nicholas Jackson have now been stripped of their on-screen EVP titles. Should Ospreay and Swerve have lost, they wouldn't have been able to challenge for the AEW World Title for a whole year. Instead, it was a House Call/Hidden Blade combination on Matthew Jackson that allowed Strickland to get the 1-2-3 for his team.

While both Ospreay and Swerve got involved in the All In main event, helping Adam Page to defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship, that came at a cost for the Brit, with Will stretchered out after being attacked by the Death Riders. Seemingly, this was done in order to write Ospreay off TV so that he can heal up from whatever issues he's been dealing with.
