Will Ospreay Technically Classed As "Obese"?!

A little light-hearted news coming out of the NJPW camp...

It only takes one glance at the man's various social media streams to see that Will Ospreay is in the best physical shape of his life.

The former three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion announced recently that he wants to move up a weight class to heavyweight - that's why he's been bulking up in recent months, and he looks great. Even so, the Englishman's Twitter feed always has room for a little self-deprecation.

Ospreay posted that he asked girlfriend Bea Priestley to measure his BMI. Both were shocked when the results of that body mass examination came back with a reading of 31.4. They were even more stunned when the calculator claimed that Will is "obese".

No, New Japan's finest hasn't been sitting on the couch stuffing his face during the world's recent lockdown. He's been hard at work building muscle, and so the preposterous "obese" declaration came as quite the eyebrow raiser.

Fair play to Will for sharing that online with fans for a giggle. Again, he's in the best shape of his career and looks primed to take NJPW's heavyweight ranks by storm when shows start up again.
