Could William Regal soon become a regular TV presence again?

Having only appeared on NXT programming a couple of times since returning to the WWE fold in January 2023, could William Regal be set for a more regular role on NXT TV? Possibly.

Per Fightful Select, pitches have been made for the past several months to have Regal become an on-screen mentor figure for the No Quarter Cach Crew.

As seen on this week's NXT, Charlie Dempsey noted how the NQCC needed "structure" in the aftermath of him losing the Heritage Cup to Tony D'Angelo. Of course, Dempsey is the son of William Regal, with the pair having briefly shared the ring at NXT Roadblock earlier this year, where his Lordship said he'll be keeping an eye on Charlie.

Since his most recent WWE return, the only other Regal appearance of note was him coming out of Shawn Michaels' office as Ava was confirmed as the NXT General Manager. As part of the agreement that saw Tony Khan agree not to trigger a renewal of the Englishman's AEW contract, Regal was to be kept off WWE programming for one year - with that period coming to an end this past January.

Should William Regal indeed become a mentor figure for the No Quarter Catch Crew, this would obviously come on the heels of him forming and guiding the Blackpool Combat Club during his time with AEW. Clearly vastly different to the BCC in terms of ability, experience, and simply where they're at in their respective careers, the NQCC nowadays consists of three relative rookies in Charlie Dempsey, Damon Kemp, and Myles Borne, with the veteran presence of Drew Gulak removed from the faction due to WWE opting to let Gulak's existing WWE deal expire.
