After WWE quietly removed WrestleMania XXIV from the WWE Network over the weekend, the 2008 edition of the company’s Showcase of the Immortals has now been added back to the sports entertainment behemoth’s on-demand streaming service.

The reason for the removal of WrestleMania XXIV was down to a music rights issue concerning Floyd Mayweather’s appearance at the event. For his No DQ bout against Big Show, Money Mayweather used his Yep single to head to the ring – with that song at the centre of a legal dispute between the iconic boxer and rapper Anthony Lawrence Dash.

With the ’08 Grandaddy of Them All now back on the Network, Mayweather can instead be found walking to the ring as a formulaic, generic hip-hop song plays.

Of course, Floyd Mayweather made several appearances on WWE programming in the build to WrestleMania XXIV, and thus it could well be that Mayweather’s other appearances will likewise be temporarily pulled from the WWE Network in order for the relevant edits to be made.

In that 'Mania contest, Mayweather would score a knockout victory of the World's Largest Athlete.
