WrestleMania 31: 8 Reasons Interest Is At An All-Time Low

2. The No Movement

Vince McMahon was hellbent on not acquiescing to the fans for a second year in a row and going with the audience favorite rather than his handpicked star, and that's his choice. Honestly, a lot of fans come off like spoiled brats in regards to Daniel Bryan, unaware that if they really wanted to influence company decision they need to vote with their wallets instead of their chants. But there's a significant percentage of that fan base who feel like the WWE actually dislikes them and books with the sole purpose of making them unhappy. While that seems like a ludicrous strategy for any business to adopt, they haven't exactly gone out of their way to dispel those notions. Bringing Daniel back for the Royal Rumble was a colossal miscalculation, and one that they're still feeling the aftershock from. The passion behind the Yes Movement has died down somewhat, but it's still definitely a factor and is playing an active role in the rejection of Roman Reigns as the chosen one. No amount of matches where Bryan busts his *ss to make Reigns look great and promos putting him over in hopes of shifting fan support is going to kill that off entirely. A sizable portion of the WWE fan base has completely tuned out interest in this year's WrestleMania due to their perceived slight of Daniel Bryan, and the promotion hasn't made much of an effort to try and win them back.
