WrestleMania 31 Spoilers: 10 Things That Won't Happen Tonight

3. A Paul Heyman Betrayal

It is no secret that, thus far in the build to WrestleMania, Roman Reigns has not exactly been accepted by the WWE Universe as Vince McMahon, the rest of management and WWE Creative would have hoped. He has been greeted with mixed reactions in nearly every city and was damn near booed out of the building at the Royal Rumble in January. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar continues to gain support from the audience, especially the adults and males in the crowd who appreciate his no-nonsense, ass-kicking persona. He is a wrestler who gets great joy out of dismantling, humbling and destroying the competition. There is no glitz, glam or otherwise fanciness surrounding Lesnar, He is the definition of a Superstar who may have been the biggest thing in the sport if today's product was as edgy as the Attitude Era. In an attempt to capitalize on the unique and organic situation that has sprouted on the road to WrestleMania, analysts and critics have suggested a scenario in which Paul Heyman will betray Lesnar and align with Reigns, instituting a double turn that leaves the Beast Incarnate as the top babyface in WWE and Reigns as its newest marquee villain. But that will not happen. Why? Because Heyman does not necessarily make everyone around him better. Take a look at Cesaro, Curtis Axel and Ryback, all of whom were briefly "Heyman Guys," whose weaknesses on the microphone were actually exposed to a much more significant degree via their association with Heyman. While it was believed that putting them with such a dynamic personality and skilled talker as the former ECW boss, the truth is that their partnership with the greatest manager of all time actually hurt them. The possibility that the same could happen to Reigns is high enough that it is not worth risking the current heat that Lesnar has, the promise that the second-generation star has and the ruining of the money relationship between Heyman and the Beast Incarnate. Reigns will be booed, Lesnar will be cheered and by night's end, Heyman will leave with his longtime client, win or lose.
