This time last year, Matt and Jeff Hardy, two of the most enduring characters in all of wrestling, were treading water in TNA. Then, in early summer, Matt threw a baby doll onto Jeff in one of the most scorned at angles in recent memory.

At WrestleMania 33, months after becoming the hottest gimmick act in the wrestling world, they received arguably the biggest pop of the night when The New Day announced them as last-minute additions to the RAW Tag Team Title Ladder Match.

In a way, it was the best and worst of the so-called WrestleMania Moment, a phenomenon that has become all too manufactured and devoid of logic in recent years. If The New Day had matchmaking powers, they probably should have put themselves forward - the belts are meant to be prestigious and all that - but when the opening strains of Loaded hit, none of that mattered. The Hardyz had returned home and entered a truncated but still trademark risky as hell performance in a short but satisfying ladder match. Jeff in particular looked like he'd been transported in time from 2001.

Interestingly, Matt even indulged the crowd with some BROKEN mannerisms. Which Hardy Boyz are we getting?
