WrestleMania 45 Location Revealed - WWE Making Up For 'Mania 42? (WWE News)
Something old becomes something new again if recent WrestleMania rumours are anything to go by.
Fightful Select is reporting that WWE has placed "a hold" on the Superdome in New Orleans with a view to hosting WrestleMania 45 in the city. The Wrestling Observer has also been discussing this news - they noted that the venue is coveted, and so is the "vibrant night life scene" in New Orleans.
Some wrestling fans will recall that the company previously announced New Orleans for 'Mania 42. The Rock served up that announcement on the 21 February 2025 edition of SmackDown. Then, WWE top brass changed their minds and switched the event to Las Vegas instead.
So, TKO has some making up to do with the New Orleans market.
There's a bit of a waiting list and backlog here too. 'Mania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia, then 44 is rumoured for Nashville, Tennessee. However, WWE/TKO also owe Indianapolis, Indiana a supershow as part of a deal brokered between the city and the promotion. Then, they'll (in theory) take WrestleMania 45 to New Orleans as an apology for 42. Phew!
It's worth noting that this weekend's Money In The Bank PLE is also taking place in New Orleans, although they're unlikely to announce anything concrete for 'Mania 45 there. That'd be getting ahead of the game for sure. Anything is possible, but it'd be a bit of a surprise given we're a good few years away from the event.
It's also unclear whether or not 'Mania 45 would take place in March or April, but there hasn't been a WrestleMania PLE in March since 2015's 31.
