Wrestling Moves That LOOK Horrible (...But Are Actually Totally SAFE!)

8. RKO

On the subject of epic "out of nowhere" attacks, easily the most iconic of the bunch is the one found bringing many a Randy Orton match to a close.

But again, the super effective and always electric RKO is a move that isn't anywhere near as brutal to receive as it looks.

Now sure, when you're getting caught in mid-air by one of Randy Orton's effortless cutters, that is probably going to suck more than the basic version. Because falling from a great height onto your front is surprisingly quite unpleasant. Who knew?

However, as noted by former WWE star Maven, the standard RKO - a simple front bump - falls into the "Barely Feel It" category when looking at precisely how painful certain wrestling moves are.

Orton himself certainly feels it, though, revealing that when talking about the countless times he'd jumped up as high as he could and landed flat on his back to deliver the move over the years.

After being out for 18-months due to his injured back, 'The Viper' finally returned to the ring at Survivor Series 2023 and has continued dishing out these painful-looking but entirely safe (for his rivals) RKOs ever since.
