10. The WWF Promote WCW Cruiserweight Title On Smackdown (July 5, 2001)
Any idea of incorporating WCW into flagship WWF programming was cancelled shortly after Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell, but it didn't stop Smackdown from trying the same thing days later. Billy Kidman bagged the WCW Cruiserweight Title from Shane Helms on July 5, in a match which was better-received than the main event from Raw just days prior. Even so, it couldn't stop the McMahon family from feeling WCW wasn't going to cut it.
