9. ECW Enters The Picture (July 9, 2001)
The decision was made to bring ECW into the fold, a move made on the July 9 episode of Raw. Former ECW alumni now under contract to the WWF turned their backs on the company, once again aligning with Paul Heyman. Later in the same show, it was revealed that Stephanie McMahon was the new owner of ECW, something which didn't sit well with many hardcore fans. People started to feel the 'Invasion' was turning into just another part of the ongoing McMahon family soap opera.
