There's nothing like a spending a Monday night kidnapping and embalming another human being alive. That was at least true for Undertaker back in late 1998. Most fans remember Undertaker tying Steve Austin up on his giant cross-like symbol to end RAW but just a few weeks prior saw a series of segments unfold between Undertaker, Paul Bearer and Austin that were strange and memorable for all the wrong reasons. The dastardly duo stole Austin from a hospital and drove him to Paul Bearer's funeral home where they promised to embalm Austin alive. Things got truly awkward during the final segment. First, Undertaker carries a barefoot Austin and lays him on a table. Then, Bearer begins to get Austin ready for sacrifice by stabilizing his head and cutting off his shirt. Undertaker grabs a sharp implement, stands over Austin's prone body with raised blade and...begins chanting! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qVo6LGg_jI Kane would interrupt the ritual killing and Austin would have enough energy to stumble away, barefoot and shirtless. No one really questioned why the camera crews that had been following and filming the segments wouldn't have called the police or where Austin would have gone after leaving the room. Or even how Austin managed to keep a straight face when Taker began speaking in tongues.
