2. Hornswoggle As Vince's Son

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMRg683_BT0 Much like the 'Higher Power' scenario, this angle started off interesting and finished with a fizzle rather than a bang. 2007 was a dark year for wrestling, in many ways. One of the reasons was Vince's 'throw everything at the wall and see what sticks' mentality. In August of 2007, Vince was informed of a paternity suit, alleging that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage to Linda. The build up was that it was a male member of the WWE roster. Then the angle hit a snag.... The internet picked up on the fact that it was scheduled to be Mr.Kennedy (that being Vince's middle name) and that it would elevate Kennedy to the top of the WWE , feuding with Vince then subsequently siding with him. At least this would give us a new name in main-events, and Kennedy would be given the chance to sink or swim at the top of the card. But Vince didn't like that word had got out, so he changed his mind. Which led us to Hornswoggle....... Honestly, Vince, you only cut off your nose to spite your face, as the saying goes. You could have created a potential money storyline, but no. Childish, very childish........
