3. Break The Ring
It is a spot that the WWE has done a few times now with Mark Henry and Big Show - a bump that breaks the ring. It has been a missed angle to not do this in a Rumble match. The very nature of the over the top rope contest would be changed dramatically if WWE was to book a ring implosion. With the ropes down, suddenly all talent would have to do is bash their opponent over the ring edge. It would be a compelling twist, and lead for some exciting new scenarios for grapples on the edge of the ring. The angle would allow a pair of mat technicians like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk to really shine. Once the ring is emptied, the pair would have to lock up in the middle of the ring and see who really is the best mat wrestler. No ropes, no dives, no room for power moves - just full on technical wrestling as they look to manoeuvre the other man out of the ring.
