All reports indicate that CM Punk is done with the WWE. Hes been gone from television since the Royal Rumble, and hasnt said a word about it since. Which is why hell be back sometime after Wrestlemania. If CM Punk was so disgruntled with the company that he didnt want anything to do with them, theres a high probability that the two would have simply parted ways by now. Punk would have said somethinganythingon Twitter. Vince wouldnt have said Punk was on sabbatical, and what little was left of Punks contract would be gone. None of these things happened. During an question and answer segment at Wizard World Portland, Punk said that when he's done, he's done, and no one will see him again. Only he's made no great effort to stay out of the public eye. Quite the contrary. Punk has been spotted at UFC events, Blackhawks games, and even made a televised appearance on Talking Dead. These aren't the actions of a man who wants to be left alone. What does this mean? Simply put, it means a return is more likely than not. It probably wont happen at Wrestlemania, and it may not even happen anytime shortly thereafter. But it will happen. To believe that Punk is so upset that hed want his legacy to be tarnished hard to fathom. Remember, the last time we saw him on WWE television, he was taken out of the Royal Rumble by Kane. And that was it. No fanfare, no fantastic last match, nothing. Is it really so hard to believe that eventually cooler heads will prevail? Obviously neither side has given up, and while talks may be icy at this point, that doesnt mean they cant be resolved eventually. And perhaps this is why Punk has yet to comment publicly on the matter. He doesn't want to burn any bridges. Punk may not be happy with the WWE, but he's been smart enough to realize that silence is far less damaging than open apathy. He wants to come back. Maybe just not immediately. And he will. It makes no sense for Punk to leave the WWE forever on these terms. Hell be back. And it will happen sometime after Wrestlemania.
