WWE: 10 Booking Steps To John Cena Turning Heel On Daniel Bryan

4. Cena Shockingly Wins The Royal Rumble

A major twist in the brewing Cena and Bryan storm would come when John Cena shockingly wins the Royal Rumble. He would appear as an unannounced star in the number 30 position and run in to quickly toss Roman Reigns over the top rope (which would be a heelish move in itself). The commentators would sell the absolute shock of it and beg the question what it means for the Money In The Bank briefcase now that Cena already has a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania 31. The next night on Raw we would get the answer: Cena is focused on Bryan at WrestleMania 31 and will surrender the Money In The Bank briefcase. It's a face move to do, which would add to the good / bad contrasts of his character which are so key to this story. "I know longer have need for this briefcase," Cena tells the audience, "I hereby hand it back to WWE officials for safekeeping until expiry."
