WWE: 10 Candidates To Be The New Raw General Manager

1. Hulk Hogan

After a near-seven year hiatus, Hulk Hogan made his long awaited return to WWE on the February 24 edition of Raw. He was announced as the official host of WrestleMania 30, but has made only a handful of appearances since The Show of Shows. There has been much talk, dating back to even before 'Mania, as to what role Hogan would have on WWE TV going forward. Among the possibilities was for Hogan to replace Brad Maddox as the Raw General Manager and now that could finally be coming to fruition. Similar to Sting, Hogan was an on-air authority figure for a majority of his TNA tenure. While it was a wise way for him to maintain a presence on TV, his welcome in TNA soon wore thin after he was overexposed every single week. It got to a point where Hogan wasn't making a lick of a difference in TNA, so one would hope that WWE wouldn't make the same mistake with the former multi-time WWE champion. As great of an ambassador as he is to have for the company, WWE could be using him a lot more than to just promote the WWE Network. As Raw General Manager, he could appear on the flagship show each week (or perhaps every other week) and interact with stars of the past, present and future. He receives a thunderous reaction whenever he comes back, so it's a no-brainer to showcase him as much as possible. The only issue would be to not allow Raw to become "The Hogan Show" by having him appear in every segment, like in TNA. He shouldn't overshadow the current crop of talent, but instead serve as a side attraction and help usher in the future of WWE. Less is more with Hogan, but he's better off as the Raw GM than returning every few months to promote something. With Hogan back in the good graces of the company, it's now more likely than ever that we'll see Hogan given the spot sooner rather than later.
