WWE: 10 Cliffhanger Raw Endings To Get Fans Buying The Network

10. Cena Turns Heel On Daniel Bryan

Whether it would be a success like the Hogan 96 heel turn, or a disaster like the Austin 2001 turn, we don't really know. What we can say is that when major stars entrenched in a character do turn, it becomes one of the most talked about angles for years. Just look at Hogan and Austin, we are still going on about those monumental happenings over a decade later. Cena would be even bigger. While it remains unlikely, I still think it's worthy of this list because it would send fans into a frenzy around the Network launch. Many people have been waiting to see a Cena turn for years, so if Raw ends with the start of this and the explanation live on the Network, I think fans would be very enthusiastic for tuning over to the WWE Channel. Cena is the biggest mainstream name in WWE, the king of the casual fans, any kind of cliffhanger relating to him is going to seal sign ups. Just like he sells big merchandise numbers, he can also sell plenty of Network subscriptions. My idea for Cena would be a turn on Daniel Bryan, let's face it, Bryan is the most popular guy in the company right now, anything against him is going to draw HUGE heat. The seeds for this could be planted in the Elimination Chamber, Bryan eliminates Cena but is eliminated himself later in the night by Orton. On Raw, WWE makes the main event of Cena and Bryan vs Orton and Triple H. That's pretty stellar in itself, given that Hunter rarely wrestles. The cliffhanger goes down toward the end of the match. Bryan is about to pin Helmsley when Cena runs in and hits the AA on his partner. Before anything else can happen, Cole says time is up, tune to the Network to see the conclusion of this shock betrayal. I think it would make long term sense too. Heel Cena vs face Bryan is great for Mania and right now neither man has anything that compelling coming up. A sequel to their epic Summerslam 2013 match is a great idea. You also have a new type N.W.O with the 2014 Authority of Cena, Orton and Hunter.
