WWE: 10 Cliffhanger Raw Endings To Get Fans Buying The Network

8. The Big Return Promise

A more down to earth conventional scenario would be to simply promise a HUGE return throughout the Raw. Then do the bait and switch by saying Raw is out of time but switch over to the Network to see who it is. It's simple but it could work just as well as the grander ideas. Also, with names like Hogan and Sting widely expected in the media, everyone knows what they are going to get, they know it'll be worth their while to jump over to the Network. This idea works well in that it ties in nicely with the nostalgia factor of the Network. For the most part the channel is essentially an on-demand service which allows you to relive WWE history. As such it could be very appropriate for the first few minutes of the Network to have Hulk Hogan come to the ring for a promo. Hogan is the guy who set the WWF on its way to pop culture success and is still arguably the biggest pro wrestling icon ever. The real trick in this angle though is built around the mystery. If Raw goes off the air with cameras focused on the entrance ramp in expectation of a huge star, then the WWE will have created enough interest for some people to switch to the Network.
