WWE: 10 ECW Match Types That Should Be Resurrected From Its Heyday
6. Double Jeopardy Match
The double jeopardy match is two singles matches taking place in the same ring, at the same time. Got it? Then the winners of the two singles matches face each other to determine the winner. A slightly confusing concept but there is plenty of drama. ECW used this concept at the November to Remember pay per view in 2000 where Steve Corino faced The Sandman and in the the other match Justin Credible faced Jerry Lynn. The match was almost like a fatal 4 way because anyone could attack anyone and keep the other people from winning their singles match but you could only pin the person you are in a match with. In modern WWE there is always room to try something different, all it takes is a video package or the ring announcer to explain the rules as long as it isn't too confusing. Essentially it's a 4 man tournament with the matches happening at the same time. It would be great to see this kind of match used as a way to build up a title contender or to cause tension within a tag team or just to build up a wrestler as a bad ass and get them over.
