3. Kurt Angle Doesn't Like The Black People - New Year's Revolution 2006
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjvFMjPD5zg In 2006, Kurt Angle had a problem. He was trying to be hated, but because he was one of the best wrestlers in the company, nobody was booing him. In fact, he was getting seriously cheered. So what did Kurt do? Did he tone back his wrestling style and wrestle more heelish? Did he do dastardly deeds like cheating or using steel chairs? No, he cut a promo being as blatantly offensive as possible. At New Year's Revolution 2006, before heading into the Elimination Chamber, Angle began his promo by saying that he hoped the US loses the war in Iraq, that the best country in the world is France (a BIG no-no in America), that he's not a fan of "the black people," and he would go back in time and make Jesus tap out. The fans cheered him anyway. The point Angle was trying to make was that he could say anything and it wouldn't matter. Still, actually hearing the things that were coming out of his mouth, from a guy who only a few years ago was acting goofy by drinking milk and wearing small cowboy hats, seemed really out of place. Well, at least it was a small step up from his obsession with "guttersluts" in 2005.
