3. Mr. T - WrestleMania 1 & 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8p88I9yBQU It's hard to properly measure how important Mr. T was to WWE in terms of his star power helping WrestleMania 1, but it's fair to say that without him there may not have been other WrestleManias. Obviously Hulk Hogan was a big name too, but Mr. T was a legit actor on a top television show like The A-Team. It was 1985 and when somebody of his stature got it involved in WrestleMania, a lot of people tuned in. Mr. T actually did well in the match too. They were smart to put him in a tag with Hogan against Piper & Orndorff because he was able to work with veteran performers who could make him look like he belonged. Other celebrities at WrestleMania 1 included Muhammad Ali, Liberace, The Rockettes and Billy Martin along with Cyndi Lauper, who was mentioned earlier. Mr. T's involvement in WrestleMania 2 wasn't nearly as good. The boxing match with Roddy Piper was memorable for the brawl after Piper cheated, but the actual "match" was pretty boring.
