WWE: 10 Greatest Canadian Wrestlers Ever

6. Christian

Christian When I think of the man known as Christian, I think of the word "peeps" because that's the name he has used to address the fans. I'll also think about five second poses, ladder matches and my favorite tag team in the history of wrestling. The duo of Edge & Christian will always be linked together because they are one of the best tag teams in the history of WWE. Even though they only teamed up for a little over two years, their legacy is in place because of the memorable ladder and TLC matches they had. Few teams can touch them in terms of the sheer amount of great matches they had together. What's great about Edge & Christian is also that they grew up as best fans that loved wrestling. Christian was born in Kitchener, Ontario and then he moved to Orangeville, Ontario where he met Edge and the two best friends went on to wrestle together. Now 40 years old, each of them has accomplished so much in the wrestling business. Christian's resume speaks for itself with the World Heavyweight Title (twice), ECW Title (twice), IC Title (four times), Euro, Hardcore and Light Heavyweight Titles plus the most Tag Team Titles 9 times (7 of those are with Edge). Other than winning the WWE Title, he won everything there is to win in WWE. The consistency of Christian is what I admired throughout the years. While he has had injuries derail his career the last couple of years, prior to that he was one of the most durable guys that there is. His ability to have great matches with anybody no matter how big they were is a testament to his talent. He could have matches with the likes of the Hardy Boys where the pace was quickened or he could have a slower, more methodical match with a guy like Randy Orton, who he had an epic feud with in 2011 when Christian became a World Champion. His work on the microphone was also very good, to the point that he was often considered one of the best talkers in the business. His best friend Edge is the bigger name of the two, but Christian's legacy stands on its own too. Now that he's in the twilight of his career, we can look back at his career fondly and smile knowing that a guy that dreamed about the wrestling got to live it in front of us. That's the best story of them all.
