Started off as William Regal's assistant which showed off Tajiri's comedic sensibilities. He was able to capture the Cruiserweight title on 3 different occasions, which included a win over Rey Mysterio. He also briefly teamed with Eddie Guerrero by subbing in for Chavo and went on to win the Tag Team Titles. Despite falling into the common Japanese stereotype that WWE generally places on their wrestlers from the Land of the Rising Sun, Taijiri exceeded expectations thanks to his wrestling ability and appealing character. If it not had been for either of those he would've just been another Yoshi Tatsu, or even worse, Kenzo Suzuki.
