WWE: 10 Greatest Superstars Of The 2000s So Far

8. CM Punk

CM-Punk-Best Maybe some readers might be quite confused as to why CM Punk is so low down this list. The title of this article contains the words "so far", meaning that there is still time for Punk to progress much further over the course of his career. I have always felt that while he was popular during his early days in WWE and during his heel run as the leader of the Straight Edge Society, it has only been since mid-2011 that he has really come in to his own and developed into a bona fide main eventer who the audience can take seriously in the role. Since the 'Pipebomb' in July 2011, Punk has developed very, very quickly. Seemingly lost in the shuffle before his feud with John Cena, he has really made strides in achieving legendary status in WWE. His 434-day reign as the WWE Champion speaks volumes as to how highly the company regard him and I expect him to develop even further from here now. The story isn't over yet for CM Punk.
