5. The Hart Foundation (1985-1991)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVBTKsGlKKk The most mechanically perfect team ever to grace a ring. Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart were nearly peerless in their dedication to perfection and their sheer skill at developing matches that could rock audiences across North America and later the rest of the world. Succeeding as babyfaces and heels the Harts could not be denied and won tag titles in both the eighties and nineties in amongst a collection of the most incredibly talented teams that the WWE could boast at the time. Whilst the Harts were never spectacular or innovative they were so good at what they did it really didn't matter. They were a solid ground and pound team and boasted the complimentary skills of ultra technician Bret Hart alongside powerhouse Jim Neidhart giving a contrast to their matches and the ability for them to switch styles and keep matches fresh by doing so. It is a testament to their legacy that when you ask wrestling fans from eighties to name their favourite teams The Hart Foundation will always be one of the first names to be volunteered. For me, it is not only that they were great at what they did, its how great they were at making other teams shine that really sets them apart.
