10. Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash has always courted controversy, and in some ways this is a controversial pick. Nash's rise to superstardom in the WWE was astronomic. Within one year he had become a Triple Crown Champion, holding the Intercontinental Championship, Tag Team Championship, and becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. This all happened in 1994, an incredible year for any wrestler, but especially for Nash as he'd only debuted in WWE in the previous year. No one has gone from WWE debut to Triple Crown Champion in that amount of time. His size and strength, combined with a natural sense of cool, led to him fast become one of the biggest stars in WWE. Nash was not a fixture in the WWE for a huge amount of time, the allure of WCW was too much and by the end of 1996 Nash was gone from the WWE to run amok with the NWO in WCW. Things changed quickly for Big Daddy Cool, and his decision to depart meant that he appeared in less Rumbles than most on this list. Nash only wrestled at four Royal Rumble Pay Per Views. Only three of these appearances were in the Rumble match itself, and one of these (2011) was more of a nostalgic appearance. His initial appearance in 1994 was very impressive. Nash, under the moniker Diesel, was just emerging from behind Shawn Michaels as a force to be reckoned with in his own right. Diesel entered the Rumble at number 7 and cleared house managing to eliminate 7 people in the Rumble, looking like a star in doing it. Which Royal Rumble could they have won? 1994. Nash, in his prime, only appeared in the 1994 and 1996 Royal Rumble and any interference with the 1996 Royal Rumble might have affected the Wrestlemania XII Main Event between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. I believe interfering with this would upset the wrestling God sand the punishment for this would be having to watch WCW Road Wild '98 (possibly the worst wrestling event in history) on loop for eternity. In 1994 Nash achieved everything, and though it would have been very early to give him this mega push, it would have cemented him as the top star for that year.
