WWE: 10 Heaviest Ever Wrestlers (And What They Actually Weighed)

8. Akebono €“ 514lbs

After conquering the world of the sumo (he was the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach yokozuna, the highest rank in the sport), Akebono moved on to try his hand at professional wrestling. His biggest match came at WrestleMania 21, where he defeated the Big Show in a kayfabe sumo match. After various matches on the WWE€™s tour of Japan, he then left the company and began plying his trade on the indie circuit. Currently, he€™s signed to All Japan Pro Wrestling. In his short-lived tenure in the WWE, Akebono officially tipped the scales at 504lbs. The rest of his pro wrestling career saw him announced as 514lbs, though incidentally this is also what he weighed throughout his sumo career. Unlike pro wrestling, the sumo variant doesn€™t need to dress things up and embellish upon the truth. Thus, I€™d be inclined to take this figure of 514lbs as the official weight of Akebono.
