3. Mick Foley
What it is: Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, Chef Boyardee spokesman, best-selling author, tube-sock enthusiast, but most importantly, just Mick Foley -- a surprisingly eloquent and funny dude who, despite portraying a psychopath in the ring, is a Disney-loving teddy bear with a razor-sharp sense of humor.
Why he's funny: Because he doesn't take himself, or his longtime profession, too seriously. He sees, and is happy to point out, the inherent weirdness of professional wrestling. When Foley released his first autobiography (of many) in 1998, it shocked practically everyone not only for its runaway success, but for its cleverness and wit. Since retiring from the ring, Foley has transitioned into a career as a professional stand-up comic, with impressive success. He may never get his own HBO Comedy Special -- but to dismiss the idea entirely would probably be a bad idea, since he has made a habit of defying people's expectations.
You'll enjoy it if: You love wrestling, you love Mick Foley, and you love the ridiculous nonsense of professional wrestling. His comedy tends to be pretty family-friendly, aside from the occasional impression of the Dynamite Kid (see clip below) and getting motorboated by a TNA Knockout. Even non-wrestling fans, if dragged unwillingly to one of Foley's shows, will probably be won over by his charms.
