5. His Look Appeals To The Ladies
Reigns is hot. I'm a woman, I'll say it. Dean Ambrose has a cocky sort of appeal, a product of his attitude more than his physical attributes. Seth Rollins is attractive by virtue of his skills in the ring. Roman Reigns is double-take sexy. Not "I guess if I had to pick a handsome wrestler out of all these other wrestlers, I'd pick him" but "That is a man that I would like to objectify for a while". I don't watch wrestling because there are a lot of nearly-nude men rolling around with each other. I've actually watched wrestling since I was too young to even get tingly feelings for suave Samoans. I love wrestling for the athleticism and the escape. But every now and then, someone comes along who manages to turn my head, and this one is wearing more clothes than the rest of the roster. He may not have the charisma of a Dean Ambrose or the talent of a Seth Rollins, but Roman Reigns isn't just there to be the eye candy. He's proven himself to be a worthy cog in this well-oiled machine (yes, I said well oiled). He uses his physical strength to great effect, has excellent timing in the ring, and brings an intensity to The Shield that rounds out their game. May he continue to smolder for many years to come.
