WWE: 10 Iconic Alliances That Should Be Reinvented For 2014
9. The Million Dollar Corporation (1994-1996)
To his credit both as a wrestler and as a manager, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was responsible for debuting two of WWE's all-time greatest superstars: The Undertaker in 1990 and Steve Austin in 1996. Both debuts, oddly, contained needless cameos by the perennially red-faced Brother Love. DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation is perhaps best known for introducing "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin to WWE fans, but it also contained some other genuinely good talent like Bam Bam Bigelow, the 1-2-3 Kid, Tatanka, King Kong Bundy, Irwin R. Schyster (I.R.S.), and Psycho Sid. The general idea of the Million Dollar Corporation was that DiBiase would purchase the talents of his handpicked group of grapplers behind-the-scenes and repackage them in a surprise reveal to an otherwise unsuspecting audience. This "Who's It Gonna Be?" surprise format was certainly innovative at the time and would later be duplicated, albeit with much greater success, by WCW's New World Order. 2014 Proposed Update - The Billion Dollar Corporation This would be an easy reprisal in today's world of professional wrestling. With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at the helm of the new Billion Dollar Corporation, main eventers like Batista, Randy Orton, and Kane could do the bidding of their billionaire CEO and heiress.
