WWE: 10 Most Jaw-Droppingly Stupid Future Endeavours

7. Mickie James

Mickie James is one of the best female workers in professional wrestling and has been for the better part of a decade. She debuted in October, 2005 as Trish Stratus' biggest fan who eventually revealed she had a romantic interest in Trish. The two engaged in a memorable feud that included a championship match at WrestleMania 22. She was one of the main cornerstones of the divas division throughout the mid to late 2000s, the low point being her subjected to a tasteless angle with Michelle McCool and Layla where they poked fun at her weight gain by calling her "Piggie" James. She was eventually released due to WWE's desire to "go in a different direction" with the divas, which one can only assume meant hiring models with zero wrestling ability and subjecting their audience to some of the worst matches of all-time. Thanks, WWE. Mickie made the jump to TNA and continued to prove that she could go in the ring as well as being one of the better female personalities in the business. TNA was unable to create any synergy with her moonlighting career as a country music singer, but one can only imagine WWE would have had better luck promoting James. And her crazy stalker character would match up perfectly with AJ Lee and provide fans some much-needed decent divas in-ring action.
