WWE: 10 Jobs You Won't Believe That Wrestlers Once Did

6. Michael Cole Was A Serious Journalist

He is undefeated at Wrestlemania so I think we can all argue that he counts as a wrestler. The modern day voice of WWE enjoyed a well respected career as a serious journalist before his venture into professional wrestling. During that career he covered the election campaign of former president Bill Clinton, the infamous Branch Dividian Compound siege in Texas, the Oklahoma City bombing and spent nine months reporting on the Yugoslavian civil war. Somehow he found himself out of this world and into the insanity of the WWE during the late 90s. While it may have been significantly less dangerous, it has proven to be just as demanding. After working his way up from backstage interviewer, he has become a consistent regular on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. If you take into account all the other research and work he is responsible for, it's a lot. I know he isn't everybody's favourite announcer of all time, but he has grown into his role and is probably at his peak right now. Whatever happens for him in this business, his career as a journalist is not to be forgotten or disrespected.
