WWE: 10 Lasting Legacies Of The Undertaker (Other Than The Streak)

9. The Casket Match

There are several match types that people associate with Undertaker from Hell in a Cell (he was in the first one) to Buried Alive matches (it fit his character) and the most famous one of them all is the Casket Match. When Undertaker used intimidation tactics against Lesnar prior to WrestleMania 30, he entered the building in a casket at one point. That was done to intimidate Lesnar. It made some people think that maybe they would have a casket match, but that didn't happen. Over the years, he had Casket Matches with a number of different people like Kamala, Yokozuna, Shawn Michaels, Heidenreich, Mark Henry and the last one at Survivor Series 2008 against Big Show. Some of his casket matches were very memorable like the 1994 Rumble one with Yokozuna where a dozen heels helped Yoko win and then Undertaker did this speech from inside the casket that was very creepy. Then there was the one with Michaels where Michaels hurt his back taking a bump on the casket. The only reason that the Casket Match isn't higher on this list is because those matches usually weren't that great. However, as a gimmick match it was his specialty and the one match type that will always be associated with him.
