WWE: 10 Legitimate Tough Guys

10. CM Punk

Cm Punk Best CM Punk's gimmick is that he is "the best in the world". He throws together a hard hitting ring style that includes kicks and submission holds. But is Phil 'CM Punk' Brooks really a tough guy who can kick ass? Yes. Brooks is a huge fan of Ultimiate Fighting, and trains in various disciplines of MMA. You have probably noticed Punk sometimes sporting a 'Gracie Jiu Jitsu' hoody. Jiu Jitsu is just one of the Martial Arts that Punk partakes in, and he has also shown toughness in both boxing and kickboxing. MMA is no easy walk in the park, the conditioning alone requires a high level of discipline and fitness. Punk is tough. You could see some of Punk's MMA skills in his Summerslam bout with The Beast Brock Lesnar, as the Two worked some Jiu Jitsu holds and transitions in their excellent main event. Could Punk ever fight for real? Well, according to good friend and Ultimate Fighter Chael Soonen, the answer is yes. In an interview with CBS Radio before Sonnen got his ass kicked by Rashad Evans at UFC 167, Sonnen commented on Punk jumping from WWE to MMA - "I mean, he's given some serious consideration to coming over here and competing and doing this. He's talked about it a number of times, and I don't think he will personally, but I know he's prepared to for a very long time. It's kind of the reverse Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar knew how to wrestle, came here and then went right into wrestling. I think that Punk is learning how to fight, and has visions of coming from wrestling over to fighting. So we'll see how all that works out, but like he says, he's the best in the world at what he does."
