WWE: 10 Life Lessons From Chris Jericho Every Man Must Follow

9. "Break The Walls Down" - Don't Give In, Work Hard And You'll Achieve Your Dreams

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nBEu5F8Wig While you might think of Chris Jericho as rich and successful at a relatively young age, he has had to claw his way to fight for his riches. Jericho spent many years working indie wrestling dates in Canada, Mexico and Japan for money that barely covered his travel costs. While he couldn't believe his luck when Eric Bischoff gave him a significant WCW contract, he had spent years before that surviving on the bare minimum. He didn't care. Jericho loved wrestling and was happy for the opportunity, he worked his hardest and believed in himself that the success would one day come. In the wider world we should apply Jericho's work ethic. Do what you love and do it to the best of your ability, the money will follow. By the time Jericho finished in the business he was a multi-millionaire and still commands a big figure sum to this very day. That all came about because he spent years honing his craft on almost no personal profit. The popular star also "broke the walls down" by never being discouraged from obstacles, and he certainly had plenty of road blocks up along the way. Firstly he had Eric Bischoff who didn't see value in him as a main eventer, then Vince McMahon had his doubts, with Triple H subtly burying the star in 2001 - 2002. Did Jericho give in? Absolutely not. He continued giving his all, having the match of the night at Wrestlemania 19 against Shawn Michaels. He proved himself and by the end of the decade was in the main events and carrying the World Title. He had been told he was too small when he first came into wrestling, his success might never have seemed possible, but he changed the industry and made it possible. Believe in yourself and never give up, just like Y2J.
