Benoit then entered into a classic programme with Montel Vontavious Porter and beat him at Wrestlemania 23 and Backlash before losing a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match at Judgment Day. MVP overcame the great mat-based technician and submission specialist winning two straight falls.
