4. WrestleMania 21 With Stone Cold Steve Austin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut9RxunIWOk After leaving WWE in 2003, Piper had a brief but eventful spell in TNA. While there, he hosted a few episodes of a new show called, "In the Pit with Piper," that tried to recapture the magic of the original Piper's Pit. His stay there was short lived though, after a major falling out with Vince Russo signalled his end for the company. Two years later in 2005, he returned to the WWE family for one of the biggest milestones of his life when he was invited for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. One day later at WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles, Piper held a huge return edition of Piper's Pit with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin and Piper had never crossed paths before and some fans had been waiting for them to go face to face for years, knowing that both were dynamite on the mic. Before bringing Austin to the ring, Piper heated up the fans by asking various questions to get them to scream Austin's name back at him "Who is the Baddest man in the WWE?" AUSTIN! "Who is the MEANEST man in the WWE?" AUSTIN! "Who's the biggest rebel in WWE History?" AUSTIN! "Bulls**t!" And with that, Piper brought Austin to the ring to confront him over who was indeed the bigger rebel. Before any words were even shared, both men tossed their stools to the floor signaling that this might not be an amicable conversation. Piper immediately welcomed Austin to Piper's Pit with a hard slap across the face, to which Austin thanked him for having him on by calling him a son of a bitch and slapping him right back. Once they got that out of their system they were able to have somewhat of a reasonable talk. As Piper played along with the loud "What" chants, he admitted to having a ton of respect for the Rattlesnake over the years but alerted him to the fact that Piper was pissing Vince McMahon off before the red on Austin's neck had fully formed. Not fully responding to Piper's claims, Austin instead mocked his outfit and insisted he wasn't intimidated by the Hot Rod. Before getting any further, they were interrupted by Carlito's music who walked to the ring mocking them for their girly slapping game. As expected he told them they weren't "Cool" and that no one wanted to see them anymore. He insinuated that both legends had some apple spit in their near future but as he tossed his apple in the air, Roddy used his old trick and caught it before Carlito. Austin and Piper shared a knowing smile as Piper chewed the apple then spat it back into Carlito's face. Seconds later, Carlito was on the receiving end of a Stone Cold Stunner. Austin and Piper shared a beer to end the segment but like many of Austin's previous drinking partners, Roddy ended up taking a Stunner of his own. It would have been nice to see Stone Cold and the "Rowdy One" go at it proper, but the inclusion of up and coming Carlito was understandable. It was a great homage to past Piper's Pits, deserving of a spot on the WrestleMania card to pay tribute to Roddy's induction to the Hall of Fame and breaking up the action after an amazing match between Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels.
