WWE: 10 Moments From The PG-Era That Made You Mark Out

2. The Nexus Debut

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVVtqoqzgNw When NXT season 1 winner Wade Barrett was interviewed on his first night as a member of the Raw roster he promised to make an impact and there is no denying that he achieved that. A less noticed part of the interview was the new arm band he was sporting, which many presumed was to celebrate his NXT success. It turned out to be an omen of what that impact would be. In the main event between John Cena and the viewers choice of opponent in CM Punk, Wade Barrett walked out onto the stage. Normal enough, until the camera started cutting around the crowd to show fellow NXT Rookies including Michael Tarver and Skip Sheffield appearing in the front row. From there all eight of the NXT Rookies attacked everyone and everything in their path, completely tearing apart the ring and nearby area before placing their entire focus on John Cena. Daniel Bryan spat in his face while screaming "You're not better than me!", Wade Barrett hit his Wasteland finisher before Justin Gabriel put the exclamation point on with his 450 Splash. While WWE would struggle to use the group to full effect after this, there is no denying the shock and excitement that this moment created. The Nexus is one of the greatest debuts in WWE history and one of the most unique.
