2. Ric Flair
"Limosuine ridin', jet flyn', kiss stealin', wheelin' n' dealin', son of a gun," this is what made Ric Flair... well, Ric Flair. There was nothing to him. Self-admittedly there was no character, it was just him with the volume turned up and not all that much. Ric Flair rhyming and flamboyant attitude made for some of the greatest promos in the history of wrestling, beginning all the way back in 1972 and to this day, still wheelin n' dealin''. Flair's iconic promos in Georgia Championship Wrestling while holding the NWA World Heavyweight Championship was a draw in and of itself during the 1980's, helping keep the National Wrestling Alliance afloat during a time competition began growing increasingly tough. Flair was never far from a live microphone and always found a way to add another gem to his repertoire of catchphrase's and slogans. Even to this day Ric is still giving us memorable lines. One of my favorites in recent years came on an episode of Impact with Flair and Mick Foley, Ric exclaiming, "I'll either die in this ring or on top of a wild woman, and I don't care which one," simply put, Ric Flair is truly one of a kind.
