1. Daniel Bryan
Was there any doubt that Daniel Bryan would be the top of this list? Whatever you think of the way that Bryan has been treated in recent months, there's little doubt that he is by far the most successful graduate of the original iteration of NXT, having held the United States Championship, the Tag Team Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Championship - although the latter he held all-too-briefly. From the very first episode of NXT where he tore the house down in a match against Chris Jericho, to his strained relationship with mentor The Miz to his cathartic beatdown of frequent critic Michael Cole, Bryan impressed on NXT despite losing near constantly. There's a lot of doom and gloom about Daniel Bryan going round at the moment, but for someone as gifted in the ring who has come along leaps and bounds in the more entertainment-centric aspects of pro wrestling in recent months, it's difficult to imagine a future for the WWE where Bryan isn't a major player. Don't believe the hype - the success story of Daniel Bryan is far from over.
