The Irish go toe to toe with the Mexicans when competing in the largest quantity of stereotypical characters. Most Irish wrestlers are brawlers. In a 2010 interview with CNN, Sheamus even criticised previous Irish gimmicks, stating "I'm just sick and tired of the typical Irish stereotypes. All you see are leprechauns and drunken Irish parties with green beer." The 'Celtic Warrior' as Sheamus is known is still a stereotype to some extent, but I do see the point he is making. Finlay and Hornswoggle are far bigger caricatures of Irish folk. Finlay's entrance's music starts by the wrestler himself stating 'I am Finlay and I love to fight'. Well of course he does, he's Irish! If that wasn't enough, he then started hanging around with an Irish leprechaun. How about Hornswoggle? An American dwarf, turned into an Irish leprechaun. The poor guy wore a green suit, a top hat and could barely talk. Though while the character is a horrendous stereotype, it is often his height that sees him victimised; DX famously went to little people's court during a confrontation with Hornswoggle, where they continuously mocked a group of dwarfs about their size.
