WWE: 10 Most Overpaid Wrestlers Of 2013

9. Stephanie McMahon, $325,000 Yearly Guaranteed Performer Contract, On Air Character, No Drawing Numbers, No Merchandise Sales

Stephanie Mcmahon1 Stephanie McMahon is a major force backstage in the WWE, handling creative, talent and brand responsibilities. She is a major shareholder in the company and is on a considerable pay roll as Chief Brand Officer. Despite the fact that Stephanie was already on a pay roll, and despite the fact that she was already backstage at Raw every week, in 2013 she was handed a contract to appear on camera as a character. Stephanie is now paid $325,000 a year on top of her WWE salary, just so she can come on screen for five minutes every week at a show she was attending regardless. Personally, I think it's a bit excessive. Stephanie doesn't need the money, and the fact she was already at Raw anyway means she could have just popped on camera for five minutes in addition to being present in her main role. Is her acting work really worth $325,000 a year on top of her corporate contract? I think not. To put Stephanie's talent contract into perspective, she makes more money than Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder and all of the WWE divas. She is grossly overpaid for what in essence is a character role that never competes, minimally advances storylines, doesn't draw buys or ticket sales and sells no merchandise.
