WWE: 10 Perfect Matches You Could Describe As 'Art'

2. Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker €“ Wrestlemania XXV

"Sometimes It's Hell Trying To Get To Heaven" €“ The Undertaker Good vs Evil, light vs dark, white vs black, Heaven vs Hell. Two iconic veterans, 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker did battle at Wrestlemania XXV, and while they had a second match at the next Wrestlemania, I believe the match at Wrestlemania XXV is the more artistic of the two. The imagery is undeniable. The Undertaker is all about darkness, his look, his character and his imagery. While Shawn Michaels used light, lots of white colours and Christian imagery to his character. Presented as an iconic battle between the two the drama revolved around The Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania and whether or not bitter rival Shawn Michaels could break it. The two men were relics from a bygone era, they didn't fit in with in current product and their time seemed to be running out. But despite all this, they delivered an incredible spectacle for the wrestling world to remember forever. They would produce a blistering match as Michaels grew evermore desperate to defeat The Undertaker as time went on. Michaels futile struggle against The Deadman can almost reflect man's futile fight against the inevitable march of death. The imagery of the match has lasted and it is still revered as one of the greatest of all time. It's a tapestry of emotion made by both The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.
