3. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage vs Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat Wrestlemania III
Sometimes, things have to change. There comes a time when the old is boring and the same and it comes times for something new, radical and different. Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage for the Intercontinental Championship was revolutionary in the world of professional wrestling. They introduced a new style and spectacle the wrestling world had rarely seen before. Savage and Steamboat on Wrestlemania gave authenticity and credibility to a more athletic style of wrestling. There was more depth in the matches and the psychological aspect of the performances increased with the more risks each man would take. There was more artistry to the matches the more these men crafted, planned and reacted in the ring. Savage and Steamboat combined flair, excitement, athleticism and dedication, creating art that would inspire generations of professional wrestlers to come. WWF took a long time to adapt to the style created by these two men and in today's modern era with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk you can feel the influence of two men all the time.
