WWE: 10 Perfect Matches You Could Describe As 'Art'

7. Triple H vs Cactus Jack €“ No Way Out 2000

Art can sometimes be violent and remorseless. The brutal contest between Triple H and Cactus Jack at No Way Out in 2000 was fought in a Hell in a Cell match and both participants would take each other to the absolute limit in a violent and unforgiving encounter. The match tells the story of these bitter rivals as Mick Foley puts his career on the line against World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. Mick Foley was in a bitter war with The Game, but in order to defeat him he thought he needed to change, to access a more barbaric side, so he regressed and his persona of Cactus Jack was reborn. Cactus Jack had a reputation of having no limits and expressed his desire to jump off the cage onto Triple H before the match began. The match breathed life into the Triple H character and helped him ascend into main event status. I believe it also made fans question if this was too far, even for professional wrestling which was in a state of PG14 ultra-violence during the time. The match is a testament to wrestlers commitment and passion to deliver all they can. Just how far are they willing to go for their art? This iconic match shows ones mans depravity and just how far we will go to get what we want. It's a scary match to watch now considering just how violent it is and both men would forever feel the scars from it.
